Movies transport us to a world other than our own, whether it is a a world of explosions and cops or a world of horrifying slaughter by a lake or a world of color and adventure. Movies have a way of drawing us in to their world and it is a wonderful world to be in.

I have loved movies for a long time and not just the movies themselves but also the process of movie making,  the culture that has risen from movies (especially horror movies) and the history of the motion picture, they are all fascinating!

So in this blog I aim to talk about movies, what I like what i don’t like that sort of thing. I toyed with the idea of creating a blog purely about horror films as that is what I watch most of (at least at the moment), but I couldn’t bring myself to not examine other genres as well. I plan to write some reviews, although I don’t know if I will be doing official star rating or just talking about movies and whether I liked them or not. I will be trying to write articles and bringing you news from the movie industry that I find interesting.

I will not be delving into the micro detail of movies, trying to squeeze out ever last drop of meaning from them as that is not how I enjoy movies. There will be some depth however, as I think it is hard to be a movie fan and not try and see something more in the silver screen. Lot’s of my favorite movies are not deep, they are big and dumb but I don’t think you need to be into deep artistic films to be a “true” movie fan.

Predator (1987) Big dumb fun with big fun guns!

Anyway that’s what this blog is about I hope people will enjoy it and we can all share in a love of movies!
